The team roster, solved.

Turnos is the platform that collects the team's availability from their phones and generates a monthly roster that is fair, explainable and within the law. No messages after hours, no nights lost to spreadsheets.

The team marks, Turnos solves, the manager approves. Designed and built by people who make rosters. In minutes.

The reality

Making the roster by hand costs time, unmet requests and rest.

With Turnos, the time is yours. The evidence says the rest.

5min

to build the monthly roster of a 24-nurse unit. Previously, a whole afternoon.

−6%

in sickness absence in the units where the team started taking part in building the roster. 238 units, about 9,000 professionals.

+23%

higher risk of sickness absence for each short rest between shifts. 1.4 million shifts, 7,515 nurses.

Emanord · Turnos: the team submits availability from their phones, the algorithm applies the rules and distributes the shifts fairly, the manager approves. Minutes instead of days. Requests met. Rules kept.

Do the maths for your unit.

Two numbers from you. The result is the time you get back every year.

59hours a year
given back to whoever makes the roster
the equivalent of 5 shifts of 12 hours, and 288 availability entries or requests collected from phones, without a single sheet of paper or e-mail
With Turnos, the monthly roster takes minutes: the value measured in a 24-nurse unit is 5 minutes, about 1 hour a year. The rest of the maths is yours.

How it works

Simple. On purpose.

Three steps a month. The first belongs to the team, the second to Emanord · Turnos, the last to you.

1

The team submits

Each person gets a text message and marks the shifts or the requests for the month.

2

Turnos solves

The optimisation engine balances the unit's cover, the hours and the weekends of the whole team, and refuses any combination that breaks the rest rules set by law and by the unit.

3

The manager approves

The roster lives in the app: the manager reviews it, adjusts it if they wish and publishes it. Each person sees their shifts on their phone. The final decision is always human.

Trust

Made for healthcare, explainable from start to finish.

Explainable

When a roster is not possible, Emanord says which person, which day and which rule prevent it. Nothing stays in a black box.

Human

The algorithm proposes, it never decides. Every roster is reviewed and approved by the unit manager before it is published.

Consulting

Clinical practice, data and ethics, at the same table.

Emanord works with units, hospitals and research teams on three fronts: clinical ethics, clinical informatics and clinical research. With people who know the units from the inside.

The areas

Three fronts, one team.

Clinical ethics

Ethics opinions, committees and training: from data protection to algorithm-supported clinical decisions, with rules explained to the people who follow them.

Clinical informatics

Implementation and adoption of clinical systems, workflow design, vendor assessment. From the electronic record to integration, without losing sight of clinical practice.

Clinical research

Study design, data collection instruments, data analysis and support for publication, within what ethics and the unit allow.

How we work

Three steps, no surprises.

1. Conversation

No commitment: we work out the problem and tell you frankly whether we are the right people.

2. Proposal

Scope, deadline and price fixed in writing before we start. No open-ended hours.

3. Delivery

Alongside the team, in the unit, not at a distance. What we leave behind is yours: documents, data and method.
